How to Disable Firefox's AI Slop

Very frustratingly, Mozilla has implemented AI garbage into their web browser just like every other big company with a popular application. Luckily, updated as of November 2025, you can combat this by manually turning off each setting associated with AI.

Navigate to about:config and set all the following to false (and yes, you have to turn them off one by one):

• browser.ml.enable
• browser.ml.chat.enabled
• browser.ml.chat.menu
• browser.ml.chat.page
• browser.ml.chat.page.footerBadge
• browser.ml.chat.page.menuBadge
• browser.ml.linkPreview.enabled
• browser.ml.pageAssist.enabled
• browser.tabs.groups.smart.enabled
• browser.tabs.groups.smart.userEnabled
• extensions.ml.enabled
• browser.search.visualSearch.featureGate

And you're now AI free! Firefox should now be running much faster now.
